House Design Contest Winner: Jessica Tennill
In April 2007, Forest Products Solutions opened the first FSC® House design contest to Emerging Green Builders (EGBers) from around North America. A number of highly qualified young design and construction professionals entered the contest from all corners of the continent and in the end Jessica Tennill's design was selected as the winner.
Jessica Tennill is a recent graduate of the University of Kentucky, where she received a Bachelors degree in Architecture and a minor in Art Studio. During her prolific academic career, she received architecture awards in design and 3-D visualization. She earned the highest respect from her professors, and was nominated to represent her university as an intern for Gensler in Chicago, where she focused on sustainable design and became a LEED 2.1 accredited professional. Jessica did a brief internship in New York City with Resolution: 4 Architects and she has studied architecture abroad in Europe and Japan.
She is focused on raising awareness for environmental design and continues to pursue this interest by uniting design harmlessly with nature.
Jessica will be in the FSC® House during the GreenBuild Conference and Expo in Chicago, IL from November 6-8, 2007. Come see us in Booth# 466.
