FSC in the Green Building Market

The growing green building industry offers companies with FSC certification an excellent opportunity to develop and grow sales.  There is not a green building standard operating in the US that does not include the use of FSC-certified wood products as an opportunity for a project to earn credits.  To better understand where FSC, as a brand and product, stands within the minds and projects of green building professionals, FSC-US and Forest Products Solutions conducted a survey of professionals at the USGBC Green Build ’05 Expo in Atlanta.  These surveys were offered to attendees on the Expo floor and through an on-line survey after the conference.  The FSC Green Building Market Report 2006 is the first attempt to gain a deeper knowledge of design and building professionals’ current view of FSC, uptake of FSC-certified products in building projects, and a better understanding of venues for educating professionals.  Information of this nature has not been collected in the past and we hope that your marketing and sales personnel find it useful.
