On September 14, FSC US submitted detailed comments to the US Green Building Council (USGBC) about the LEED 2012 draft standards.

While the immediate next steps in the process are not clear, we expect a third round of review and comment will be required before the USGBC members vote on the final version of LEED 2012 late next year.
Because the second draft of LEED 2012 was such a significant step backwards, a third comment round is absolutely necessary.
FSC US is continuing to engage USGBC staff to try to strengthen the standards. As we learn more about the process for LEED 2012, we will share the information with our stakeholders.
